Annual profit after expenses as a percentage of property price
Full Definition
Net yield accounts for all operating expenses including mortgage payments, management fees, maintenance, insurance, and void periods. It's calculated by subtracting annual expenses from rental income, dividing by the property price, then multiplying by 100. Net yield provides a more accurate picture of investment performance than gross yield.
