Rating of property's energy efficiency from A-G
Full Definition
An Energy Performance Certificate rates a property's energy efficiency from A (most efficient) to G (least efficient). Rental properties require minimum EPC rating of E (rising to C by 2025-2028 for new and existing tenancies). EPCs are valid for 10 years and must be provided to tenants. Poor ratings may require costly improvements.
